Autumn is arguably the best season for style; we can accessorise with hats, scarves and cosy, chunky knit cardigans as we prepare for winter. As the greenery slowly begins to turn into gorgeous, orange fallen leaves, we here at Arlo Wolf have been busy putting together an autumn style guide, including the latest trends in glasses and sunglasses! Yes you heard us right, you can still wear your favourite sunnies in autumn, or find a new pair to complete your autumnal wardrobe. Check out some fresh looks for this season below!
Lilac is the new orange
The go-to colour of autumn is usually sunset oranges and dark browns, which we of course still adore, but the colour of trend for autumn 2021 is lilac. If you’re feeling brave, why not rock a lilac all in one piece from head to toe and make a statement, or it’s just as easy to incorporate this floral hue with accessories or shoes!
We recommend styling lilac with neutral colours such as blacks, whites and golds. Our best-selling Brooklyn in Gold frames would be the best match if you’re a lilac lover – the simple, circular style in a mesmerising gold is completely complimentary for this bold shade of purple.
Tailored on trend
With a loose, white, tucked-in shirt under your blazer, you couldn’t go wrong with a well-tailored choice; whether you style a co-ord set or DIY with separates, maintain an effortlessly chic look. Two-piece suits and edgy jackets have overtaken dresses as the coolest looks to be seen in right now, thanks to celebs and Instagram style stars.
Pair your tailored suit outfits with Sawyer, available in Black and Tortoise, for a smart casual look even Parisians would be envious of! These frames really take the look to the next level.
Keep it casual
Jogger trousers are great for off-duty looks and ultimate street flair. The first thing you need to consider is the brightness of your look. Grey hoodies and sweatpants are a staple in any autumn wardrobe and are so easy to style with your favourite white trainers. If you want to make a statement, go for bright colours and pair them with stylish printed tees rather than a plain white tee.
If you opt for the classic grey hoodie and joggers combo, we suggest another of our best sellers, Brooklyn in Tortoise. This classic glasses style will add another layer of texture to this laid-back look.
Double denim is here to stay
Denim on denim was once an absolute no style area, but thanks to a new age of refreshed style stars, we’ve fallen in love with the regenerated 90s look.
What’s the safest way to wear double denim? Change the hue of indigo from top to bottom. When mixing two denim blues, choose a darker shade on the bottom and a lighter shade on the top.
Sunglasses are still a must for this season – the sun has been known to show up now and again in these autumnal months! Axel Sun in Tortoise complements a blue denim look and gives it a retro 1950s feel. Protect your eyes and look incredible whilst doing it!
Satin and silk
The high-shine fabric has made a comeback for everyday wear, rather than simply for special occasions. This woven, shimmering fabric can range from a thicker duchess satin to a thinner, almost-crinkled seeming crepe. Given how quickly and enthusiastically many people embraced the comeback of the ’90s silk slip dress’, it’s no surprise that this seductive fabric is back in action.
If you’re thinking about styling satin as an office look, we have the perfect frames to accompany it. A new arrival for autumn, Flynn comes in three colours – Crystal Black, Grey and Tortoise. Bring the catwalk to work this season.
